Karrueche Tran Talks With Iyanla Vanzant About Chris Brown

Things have been messy between singer Chris Brown and his now ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, and it looks to be about to get messier.

Oprah Winfrey’s network, OWN, posted a teaser Tuesday for Tran’s interview with Iyanla Vanzant. The inspirational speaker and host of “Iyanla: Fix My Life” fires off at Tran: “He betrayed you. He lied to you. He did it all publicly,” before asking, “How did you find out that he had a baby by another woman?”

Brown has been the subject of rumors that he fathered a daughter with another woman while in a relationship with Tran. He has neither confirmed nor denied the stories, but the story heated up when Tran tweeted on March 4, “Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me.”

The tweet was later deleted.

Brown and Tran have had an on-again, off-again relationship for years. In 2012, Brown posted a video on Twitter questioning whether it was possible to be in love with two people. At the time, the singer had broken up with Tran after once again growing close to singer Rihanna, whom he assaulted while they were dating in 2009.

“I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna,” Brown said in the video. “I’d rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives.”

Brown and Rihanna eventually reunited but then broke up again, and he and Tran, who bills herself as a model and entrepreneur, resumed seeing each other.

On Wednesday, Brown commented from his Instagram account on a racy photo Tran posted of herself in a swimsuit while on vacation. The singer advised her to “Continue to be a lady beautiful.”

Vanzant’s interview with Tran airs at 8 p.m. ET March 28.

Madonna Admits To Secret Relationship With Tupac

Madonna

After over twenty years of guessing, Madonna confirmed she dated Tupac Shakur prior to him dying.

The 56-year-old talked about her brief relationship with the rapper, who tragically died in 1996, while on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show.

Back in the ’90s while doing an appearance on David Letterman, she revealed her relationship with Tupac.

Stern asked her if she liked Letterman because back in the 90s all of her interviews appeared hostile.

Madonna said she was usually flirting with the late night host except for one appearance in 1994 where she was a bit vulgar in her language. ‘I was mad at [David Letterman] when I said the F-word a lot,’ she explained. ‘I was in a weird mood that day. I was dating Tupac Shakur at the time and the thing is he got me all riled up about life in general.’ She went on to add, ‘So when I went on the show I was feeling very gangsta.’

Madonna was long believed to have dated the iconic rapper in 1994 but she never spoke publicly about the relationship. Coincidentally, just prior to his death, Tupac referred to Madonna as ‘real nice’ and someone who ‘helped me a lot’.

A book by Lucy O’Brien, Like An Icon (2007), claims that the Material Girl not only dated the rapper but wanted a baby with him. Madonna has never responded to the claim but has since gone on to become the mother to four children.

That seems like one relationship that must have been very interesting…

Sean Penn Oscar Speech Sets Social Media On Fire

Sean Penn’s remark about Mexican-born Oscar-winner Alejandro Inarritu’s immigration status at the end of Sunday’s Academy Awards telecast struck many as an insult, but the director says it was nothing more than a brutal joke between old friends. In announcing the win for “Birdman,” Penn asked, “Who gave this son of a bitch his green card? Birdman.”

The Best Picture winning director said after the award show, “I found it hilarious”. “Sean and I have that kind of brutal (relationship) where only true friendship can survive.” Inarritu directed Penn in his 2003 film “21 Grams,” and the pair have remained friends since.

Inarritu said he has told many similarly brutal jokes at Penn’s expense. “I make on him a lot of very tough jokes that I will not tell you,” Inarritu said.

Although it was a seemingly harmless joke to Penn, the remark struck many online as problematic for an awards ceremony that had been criticized for not having more nominees of color. In fact, the hashtag #oscarssowhite was passed over the social media platforms and seemed to be validated by Penn’s “joke”.

Inarritu went on to say, “Maybe next year, the government will inflict some immigration rules (on) the academy. Two Mexicans in a row, that’s suspicious, I guess.”

“I want to dedicate this award for my fellow Mexicans, the ones who live in Mexico,” Inarritu said. “I pray that we can find and build the government that we deserve. And the ones that live in this country who are part of the latest generation of immigrants in this country, I just pray that they can be treated with the same dignity and the respect of the ones who came before and (built) this incredible immigrant nation.”

Although it was hard for many too accept and the joke may have been delivered in bad timing, Penn and Inarritu are long time friends and that remains as the only basis for why Penn said what he said. He was proud to deliver such a prestigious award to his friend.

Breathing Tube For Bobbi Kristina Brown Removed

bobbi_kristina_brown_chris_stokes_blog

Almost three weeks after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub, Bobbi Kristina Brown is still fighting for her life.

Doctors have removed her breathing tube, two sources close to the family told CNN on Thursday, one day after the procedure supposedly took place.

Brown, daughter of late singing star Whitney Houston, will now be ventilated through a hole in her throat.

“This is an indication that the patient will need this for weeks and months to come, as opposed to hours and days,” said CNN’s chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

He said the move lowers the risk of infection and is standard procedure.

Brown, 21, remains in a medically induced coma at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Doctors are attempting to slowly lift her coma, according to sources close to the family.

The extent of her injuries is not known.

Police have said they’re treating Brown’s case as a criminal investigation. She was found in a bathtub full of water on January 31 at her Roswell, Georgia, residence.

Her mother, who died in 2012, was similarly found in a bathtub, just hours before she was to attend a pre-Grammy Awards party. A coroner ruled Houston’s death an accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine use listed as contributing factors.

Brown is her only child.

Kanye West Learns How To Shut Up

kanye-west-learns-to-shut-up-chris-stokes-blog

After joining the club of celebrity husband’s and dad’s, Kanye West has certainly learned a few things.

Kanye appeared on today’s birthday episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and said that he’s changed since starting his new family.

“I’ve definitely learned how to compromise more,” he told DeGeneres with a laugh.

“Which is something you have to understand when you partner with people in business.”

“I’ve learned how to shut up more,” West, 37, quipped.

“I think I’m a better human being because of her and because of my daughter. And I always have someone to think about going home to.

“There are things I’ve done in the past that were considered negative, but I was really jumping in front of the tank for other people or for culture in a way so now I always have to have that in my mind that I have a family that I have to protect too.”

DeGeneres complimented the outspoken rapper for being calmer as of late.

“You don’t seem angry,” the comedian said.

“I don’t know if it was even anger, but it was just a way that you were getting all of your emotions out. Now I think your emotions are grounded in a way that they come out in protection and love and their channeled in a different way.

“I think I was going through my version of my terrible twos. My daughter she wants to express herself and she just doesn’t have the words for it,” West said comparing himself to 1-year-old North West.

“For me there was so many things I wanted to do with film and clothing and I just didn’t have the words or the resources or the backing or the perception that I could do it being that I was a rapper.”

Speaking of his adorable little girl, West gave all of the viewers a first look at his music video for his new song, “Only One” which was first released earlier this month in collaboration with Paul McCartney.
